Simple Home Remedies for Cough

Cough is very common disease that mostly occurs during cold and rainy season.
A cough is sudden reflex to protect lungs from foreign particles and to ensure smooth breathing.Its first line of defense to protect our airway passage.Cough can be very severe sometimes and it is one of the most irritating situation.But do not worry,Just go to your kitchen and remedy for cough is ready there.






1.Turmeric Powder
Turmeric powder has antibiotic properties.Have a mixture of half teaspoon of turmeric powder with warm milk.Its very much effective in reducing cough.


2.Tulsi(Ocimum tenuiflorum)
Tulsi is a very important plant in indian households.Tulsi has antimicrobial properties which helps in reducing cough.Crush 6-7 tulsi leaves with a small piece of ginger and add one teaspoon of honey.Its sure shot remedy for cough.


3.Inhale Steam
It clears the blockage and helps the individual in smooth breathing.Its so much effective that you do not need any medicine if you inhale steam 2-3 times in a day.To inhale the steam,Heat the water to its boiling point and take the vapor by covering your face with a towel.


4.Onion
Onion can easily be found in any kitchen.You can use it to clear your blockage.Mash the onions and add sugar to it.Eat it 2-3 times a day.

5.Salt Water
Add some salt to Luke warm water and gargle with it while going to bed and when you wake up in the morning.Its a great help in reducing cough.
